Religion is a belief system which hold that a God or Gods exists.

Religion has been traced back to the Cro-Magnons who first began to bury their dead family members. It is obviously assumed that the early human primates could not understand why people had to die. It is then that they invented the idea of a Supreme Being or God whom they are able to communicate with a thus have a better understanding of the world around them. Rather, it isn't a "better" understand. It was claimed as the BEST understanding of the world. As a result, civilizations with different religions fought to prove that their "truth" was the only one to exist. Evidently, they both origionated from fear and ignorance.

As a Christian, my Church reasoned that humans have a natural tendency to create religion. They argued that is proof that a God exists. The more reasonable answer is that people evolved from a same ancestor and thus, we share similar behavioral characteristics of fear. Fear is what created a God. We needed a way to propetiate our misunderstanding in this scary and giant world full of natural disasters and disease. We called this "God's" fury or "The Devil's work".

I feel ashamed that after 2000 years since the fabled birth of Jesus Christ, we are so ignorant as to make constant excuses for the lie called theistic religion. Christianity in particular has been traced to Judaism. Using simple deduction skills, that would mean that Judaism is the origional of the two and thus Christianity is merely an imaginary story told from Judaism. Obviously, that doesn't give much credibility to Judaism, but now, there are churches who refutes the evidence and claim that they are two independant religions.

Religion as I had stated, arose out of fear. With religion, people feel more powerful. They feel more comfortable, and they have an excuse not to try hard in life. I reasoned while I was a Christian, "If an after life truely exists, why work so hard in this one when this life isn't real?" The Christians were appauled by my question yet they never could come up with a reasonable answer.
